seeing that my summers are usually spent at camp, where my meals are made for me, i get paid for chilling at the river or the pool, and goofing off truly is part of the job, i am a bit overwhelmed looking at what is to come for this summer. just saying.
may: graduation ceremony.

ROADTRIP!
Yes, another google maps snapshot. I don’t know, I really like them. Anyways, Dad and I are leaving tomorrow morning bright and early for the big road trip back to school! Here’s the itinerary:
Monday: Austin to Memphis. This will probably take about 12 hours. We decided to get the boring chunk out of the way on the first day, and make the first day the longest.

Vielle Cap Beach
And the prettiest beach award goes to… Vielle Cap Cove! absolutely gorgeous black sand feels wonderful under the sun! Though it was hot to walk on, it was a nice change of pace for sure. The water was a bit too chilly for me to swim, but it was still beautiful!

Narbonne & Carcasonne
Today we spent a few hours in Narbonne, France. It was a beautiful old town, with lots of shopping and eating! We climbed up to the top of the castle (on left) which gave us an awesome view of the city.
Then we headed on to Carcasonne, an old Roman City with the city walls still intact! Inside were lots of shops and eating (are you seeing a trend here?). We walked all around the shops and...
La Belle Cour in South France
i really think this is the most legitimate french village we could have found. this is the outdoor courtyard which separates the two sides of the house. everything here feels so natural, windows and doors left open all the time, colorful, classy decorations, and flowers growing everywhere. absolutely lovely.
